It's a Gift Wrap Revival!

How rewarding it is when someone contacts you and tells you that you've inspired them!  I received a call the other day from a lady who told me that I had inspired her enough that she now looks out for interesting ribbon and little items to decorate her gifts with.  She's even planning her Christmas wrapping already.  How fantastic!

Initially, the thought of stocking up on little items to adorn gifts can be rather daunting, however, it's amazing how quickly your eye starts to catch little bits and pieces here and there and before you know it, you've got a little Tupper safely stored with a few essentials that take all the perceived 'pain' out of wrapping a gift.

She also forwarded me a picture of two corsages she had made for Grandparents day at her childrens school.  They were just beautiful and when we got chatting about how she had made them, she confessed that she'd bought the ready-made bow, but that she had made the Ribbon rose on the top and attached the flowers.  Just by guiding her over the telephone I explained to her how to make her own Ribbon bow and she couldn't believe how simple it was!

Often, when we see the end result, our mind puts up barriers straight away that it looks too good to be simple to make, so we don't even try.  When in reality, all we need is a little bit of handholding.  The sense of satisfaction for a job well done is worth everything!

So my challenge to you this month is to keep your eyes open for little accessories like bells, paper flowers, wooden cutouts etc that you can attach onto the top of your gift with a Sticki Dot just to give it that finishing touch.  Let me know how it goes!
